Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play an essential role in helping clients and their families live more comfortably and more fully at the end-of-life. They can be invaluable in providing relief and rest to caregivers and loved ones so they can get sleep, run errands or simply take a break.

For those who are not comfortable with direct client contact, but who would still like to contribute, we have several non-patient service needs, including helping with mailings, filing, participating in community events on behalf of the organization and other administrative duties. All Volunteers, regardless of the task, must be able to complete comprehensive training prior to receiving their first assignment.

Family Home Health Network has several volunteer opportunities, including:

• Visiting/companionship
• Reading
• Reminiscing/life review
• Writing letters
• Watching TV/movies
• Running errands
• Playing music
• Sharing quiet moments
